Common Cause was established in 1991 and has initiated or been involved in a wide variety of projects since its beginnings, some of which now continue independently:

| The market was established in 1998 and has grown to become one of the most vibrant and successful Farmers’ Markets in Sussex
Each month we have nearly 40 producers, offering a wide range of both staple and specialist local produce, plus seasonal guest producers to tie in with the growing year.
Accredited by FARMA, our stallholders are all involved in the production of their produce and are mostly based within a 30 mile radius of the town. We visit all our producers to ensure we understand the growing or production practise and that it meets the required criteria.
The market meets on the first Saturday of each month on Cliffe precinct from 9am - 1pm

Our next market of 2012 will be on Saturday 4th February. Brookhouse and Sussex Gold return, along with Cousley Flock's gorgeous wool products. From 9.00am on Cliffe Precinct. Stratta Vinegars will be taking a short break but will will have Court Lodge Organic drinking yoghurts and Wrights Ginger Wine as guest producers.
