Workshop - Pruning fruit trees

Peter May has a wealth of experience in the field of managing apples and other fruit trees. At this workshop, he will show you how to prune minarettes and other trained trees. All are welcome, it's free, but spaces are limited. Workshop Session at Lewes Community Allotment: what to grow on chalky soil

Free workshop about what you can grow on chalky soils, how to improve them and how to protect plants.

It will cover which vegetables, herbs and flowers are best suited to these conditions, how to make good compost to build the soil, using raised beds, watering methods and other ways of growing. Plus site tour, refreshments.

Herb walk with members of Lewes Community Allotment & others

Kym Murden is a local herbalist and storyteller, who is offering a walk with a difference - it's about herbs and stories, with the idea of connecting with the plants and landscape.
