Wild in Lewes
Wild in Lewes Info

6 spot burnets

Wild in Lewes was a 6 month pilot project funded by Lewes Town Council and Common Cause. Over 80 people registered with the project and we have given out advice on providing habitats for wildlife including how to convert your lawn to a meadow, put in a pond, make insect homes, planting for pollinating insects, to making your compost work for wildlife and much more.We are seeking further funding for the project which will focus on offering home visits and workshops on the community allotment. In the meantime, the Sussex Wildlife Trust Community Wildlife Officer Michael Blencowe, who is based at the Linklater pavilion, is running wonderful walks and talks.
