Much of our current work is focused on various projects to encourage sustainable food production and access to fresh nutritious food for all as this has far-reaching benefits for supporting rural communities, increasing local employment opportunities, and protecting the environment.

The Lewes Organic Allotment Project   is a community allotment in Nevill which is also used as a demonstration site for  workshops, composting instruction days, school trips, and more.

The Lottie Project is available to all Lewes Primary schools. Year 4 children learn about planting, growing cycles and composting and then enjoy the results of earlier plantings.

Fresh Ideas Network promotes community food projects throughout the South East of England. We offer training and share resources to tackle health inequalities by supporting both existing projects and new initatives.

The Ringmer Community Orchard was planted in 2005 with several varieties of fruit trees and hosts training sessions on fruit tree propagation and pruning.

Pedal-powered blender. Our adapted bicycle on which children turn the cranks to make fruit smoothies is available for schools, summer fetes, and healthy eating events. Contact us for details.
